OBJECTIVE:
The CAPTA Parent Educator plays a crucial role within the CAPTA Home Visitation Program, delivering Safe Care Education and fostering family engagement strategies. This position is essential in promoting family health and supporting the development of children.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting regular home visits in accordance with Safe Care model standards and contractual obligations, ensuring a consistent completion rate of visits each month.
- Encouraging and demonstrating effective parent-child interactions through educational activities that strengthen familial bonds and enhance parenting capabilities.
- Connecting families with appropriate community resources and services.
- Collaborating with various community stakeholders, including healthcare providers, treatment facilities, and child welfare agencies.
- Facilitating transportation for clients as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required, along with two years of direct experience in providing services to families and children. An Associate degree in a human services field is preferred.
