About the Role

Himmel's Architectural Door and Hardware is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at our Prairieville location. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a vital role in driving our business forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough take-offs, identify relevant drawings and details, and review specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and architects to provide tailored solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Efficiently communicate and work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Accurately input door, frame, and hardware information into estimating software (Comsense).
  • Develop clear and concise proposals for customers.
  • Follow up on all bids to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in industry-specific estimating software (Comsense or Pro-tech).
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive demeanor.
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol screen and complete random screens.
