Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team in Dunwoody, GA. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services to patients in need. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical services to patients in need, including assessing patients, administering medications, and transporting patients to medical facilities.
  • Supervise day-to-day field operations in the absence of senior management, ensuring that employees have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their duties.
  • Serve as a liaison between field staff and other departments, including Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, and Communication.
  • Prepare reports and documents as needed, including incident reports, daily shift activities, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to AmeriPro EMS' policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Assist in evaluating the performance of employees assigned to you, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring employees maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Manage short-term scheduling needs, ensuring that crews are properly staffed and that TEFs are turned in to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty and forward it to the administrative assistant.
  • Ensure that daily duties, such as truck cleaning, station duties, and check-offs, are performed.
  • Respond to the scene of calls with crews and assume command and coordinate ambulance transport in the event of a Mass Casualty Incident.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred.
  • State-specific Paramedic license in good standing/current NREMT certification if required by state.
  • Current certifications, including CPR, BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS, and valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role.
  • Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services, such as Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training.
  • Technology proficiency.
Working Environment

Due to the nature of EMS care, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job.
