Job Summary: LADGOV CORPORATION is seeking a dedicated Specialist to assist the Department of Interior component in Falls Church.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct communication research and strategize for integrated native plant conservation and restoration initiatives.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of botanical activities across Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) programs to enhance understanding of native plant conservation efforts.
  • Develop presentations, infographics, and promotional materials, and deliver lectures addressing conservation and management needs for native plant species, including sustainable practices for U.S. native economic plants.
  • Support inter-agency communications regarding ongoing and historical botanical initiatives led by the Plant Conservation Alliance (PCA), which includes planning meetings, managing listserv communications, and other duties to assist the PCA Federal Committee Chair.
  • Maintain and enhance FWS and inter-agency communications through shared platforms, collaborator webpages, and social media channels.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in ecology, botany, biology, or environmental sciences.
  • Experience in data and web management, project oversight, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various online networking tools, including shared websites, discussion forums, and audio/video conferencing platforms.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues related to botany and conservation to diverse audiences.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
