Job Summary:

The Chief Commercial Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team for Ardagh Glass Ltd., responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial plan and strategy for the business.

This position participates in company-wide governance decisions, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior-level executives from Operations, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.

The CCO coordinates market activities with the Group Commercial Committee across various regions, driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy, aligning with the company's business objectives.
  • Execute strategy and achieve key metrics, including volume, EBITDA, and Operating Cash Flow (OCF).
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the markets, including demand and competitive landscape.
  • Develop the long-range plan (LRP) and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support forecast improvement initiatives across all segments, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor inventory turnover and develop action plans to optimize performance.
  • Approve contracts and pricing with customers, ensuring alignment with the company's commercial strategy.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and train direct reports, ensuring high-performing teams.
  • Work with the team to identify and target customers and products, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Maintain timely communication of customer problems or potential problems, recommending and implementing corrective action.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Fifteen (15) years of outside sales experience.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, detail-oriented.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and interact with people at all levels of the organization, including internal and external customers.
  • Ability to identify problems and make recommendations.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the packaging industry.
  • Depth of expertise in sustainability, strengthened through appropriate training and qualifications.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams when needed.
