Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 16+ patients per day, providing high-quality care and education to patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in family medicine.

Requirements:

  • Current CA license and DEA certification.
  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proof of TB, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, and Tdap vaccinations.
  • Flu shot.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment:

This is a locum opportunity in an outpatient FQHC setting, working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
