Field Service Technician

Job Summary: As a Field Service Technician at Loma Linda University Medical Center, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers. This includes providing remote or on-site technical assistance for IT Desktop and Low Voltage Infrastructure services, such as hardware installation and maintenance, fiber and copper cabling, OS settings, options, and configurations, and tier 1 technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other Information Services work groups to resolve tickets and follow the appropriate escalation process.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for IT Desktop and Low Voltage Infrastructure services.
- Install and maintain hardware and software systems, including fiber and copper cabling.
- Configure and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- One year of IT Desktop, Low Voltage Infrastructure or mobile technology work experience in a large work environment required; preferably a healthcare setting.
- Understanding of modern desktop hardware and operating systems.
- Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.
- Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BISCI Installer 2 Copper or Fiber (INSTC or INSTF), CompTIA A+, and Apple Certified Support Specialist (ACSP) certifications.
