Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor RN to join our team at Beacon Health System. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to staff and managers during evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient care activities and support staff on assigned shifts
  • Report to and provide direction in emergency/crisis situations
  • Function as an information resource to staff regarding policies, procedures, and practices
  • Making rounds on Units/Departments and monitoring activities
  • Intervene appropriately to ensure the effectiveness of patient care activities/outcomes
  • Facilitate independent problem-solving and decision-making when working with staff in complex and/or unusual situations
  • Serve as a liaison among Memorial departments
  • Provide direction and assist with defining solutions that ensure appropriate patient/staff outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Current RN license in Indiana
  • Five to seven years of progressively more responsible job-related experience
  • CPR certification
  • Experience in a critical care area and ACLS certification preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of nursing care practices, policies, procedures, and techniques
  • Demonstrate analytical skills necessary to prioritize a large volume of information
  • Demonstrate leadership skills necessary to coordinate activities of staff
  • Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills necessary to represent Memorial and Beacon Health System in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Working Conditions

Works with staff, patients, physicians, and others with frequent changes in job demands and a remote possibility of exposure to bio-hazards

Physical Demands

Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position
