The Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center (ACDC) at Temple University is actively seeking candidates for tenure-track faculty roles in both basic and clinical sciences, emphasizing cardiovascular health, neuroscience, metabolism, and aging. The ACDC fosters a dynamic and inspiring research atmosphere, welcoming applicants dedicated to uncovering essential mechanisms of cardiovascular and brain health. Established in 2023, the center operates under the leadership of Dr. John Elrod, resulting from the merger of the Center for Translational Medicine and the Cardiovascular Research Center. The faculty at ACDC boast a proven record of scientific achievements and mentoring future scientists. Our multidisciplinary research encompasses various fields, including vascular, cardiac, pulmonary, neurodegenerative, developmental, and metabolic pathophysiology. A culture of collaboration and collegiality is fundamental to our success, supported by two current NHLBI project program grants and multiple co-PI awards. The ACDC occupies over 30,000 sq ft of modern laboratory space within a state-of-the-art research facility, equipped with advanced technology for all faculty members, including a premier genomics core, imaging facility, metabolomics expertise, and surgical and mutant mouse cores. The successful candidates' research initiatives will align with and enhance ongoing basic, translational, and clinical research programs at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Job Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD, M.D., MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, along with a strong academic background. Only high-impact scientists with robust research programs and a proven history of securing fellowship funding will be considered for this role.
