Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a RN Clinical Nurse, you will provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the physical condition and nursing needs of patients, and develop a plan of care in a collaborative practice with the patient and interprofessional team.
  • Plan for the care needs of the patient in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the provision of care in the clinical specialty assigned, and perform all functions of the professional clinical nurse (RN), which are age appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
  • Identify ways to improve the patient's experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality to improve patient, family, and team member satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.
  • Provide consultation and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members, collaborating to problem solve and improve patient care.
  • Demonstrate, anticipate, and proactively manage risk to prevent crises.
  • Perform skillfully in life-threatening emergencies, matching demands and resources during crisis situations.
Qualifications
  • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years. Associate's Degree in Nursing accepted in lieu of BSN for those hired prior to 1/23/17.

Work Environment

The Emergency Department at ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a RN Clinical Nurse, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

This is a 0.75 FTE, 30 hours/week night shift position. The scheduled weekly hours are 30, and the scheduled FTE is 0.75. The location is ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano in Shawano, Wisconsin. Overtime is exempt.
