We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, diagnosing and repairing electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products.
- Communicate effectively with customers and district staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures upon completed service calls.
- Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation and help train or mentor others on the service team.
- 5+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
- NICET Level II certification and valid Fire Alarm License.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
- Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
