Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Elderwood. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality speech and language therapy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to residents, using evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve their communication skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Document resident progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-service training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Current certification in CPR/BLS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
