Position Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional service and care for patients within the healthcare environment. This position involves close collaboration with clinical staff to deliver high-quality support and assistance to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Conduct outbound communications to current and former patients for scheduling follow-up appointments and consultations.
  • Collect and manage patient intake forms while maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Perform benefit verifications and obtain necessary authorizations for insurance coverage.
  • Provide initial support to patients, addressing inquiries and managing check-in/check-out processes.
  • Process payments and handle repairs under the guidance of licensed professionals.
  • Prepare financial deposits and submit daily reports to the finance department.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and monitoring supplies.
  • Participate in community outreach events, contributing to at least one event per month.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and EMR/EHR systems is a plus.

Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff.
  • Knowledge of hearing aids and related products is advantageous.
