Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct care to premature and critically ill newborns, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care
• Assess each infant's physical, emotional, and developmental needs, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
• Develop and implement effective interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes, leveraging advanced knowledge and skills in neonatal nursing
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring seamless handoffs and efficient care transitions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement educational programs, workshops, and other initiatives that promote professional growth and development
• Stay current with industry trends, research findings, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Current RN licensure in Colorado
• BLS certification required; NRP certification a plus
• Advanced knowledge and skills in neonatal nursing, including ventilation management, cardiology, and neurology
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth
