Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Coordinator to join our team at the School Of Science And Technology. As a Medical Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing direct health care services to students, emergency first aid, and related health services according to school policies and procedures.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be currently licensed as a Certified Medical Assistant in the state of Texas, and possess 1 year of experience in the field. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. You should be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff, and establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:
• Formulating campus health program goals and objectives
• Providing preventive health care services, including appraisals, screening programs, referrals, and follow-up
• Recognizing, reporting, and using control measures on communicable diseases
• Monitoring and providing follow-up on immunization needs
• Assisting families to access medical care and providing information on health and medical resources
• Conducting health counseling, making home visits, and following through on health problems as needed
• Maintaining and submitting Student Immunization Records to the Department of State Health Services
