Medical Dosimetrist

OHSU's Department of Radiation Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of radiation oncology. As a Medical Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in our treatment planning team, working closely with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, and Radiation Therapy Technologists to optimize treatment plans for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with Radiation Oncologists and Physicists to determine patient-specific techniques for optimal treatment outcomes.
- Coordinate treatment simulations, import simulation data, and tumor localization using CT and other imaging modalities.
- Generate treatment plans for 2D/3D/IMRT and stereotactic radiation treatments under the supervision of the physicist.
- Coordinate with Radiation Physicists and Radiation Therapy Technologists to implement treatment plans.
- Assist in routine QA of patient treatment records, including compliance with requests from outside centers.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program.
- One year of clinical experience following CMD certification and performing radiation therapy treatment planning.
- Competency with Department's current treatment planning software package(s).
- Certification in Medical Dosimetry through the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD).
- Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace, and applicable policies.
- Masters in Medical Dosimetry.
- 1 year as a Medical Dosimetrist.
- Perform treatment planning, knowledge of treatment planning simulation, and imaging modalities.
