- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure campus facilities remain safe and functional.
- Remodeling and Construction: Assist with remodeling and construction projects, including demolition, wall construction, and installation of fixtures and equipment.
- Furniture and Equipment Movement: Move furniture and prepare facilities for events and activities.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects and address safety concerns on campus as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: Two years of experience in building maintenance or construction field; two years of experience with sheetrock, painting, and interior wall construction required.
- Skillset: Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in large facilities; ability to perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with remodeling and construction projects.
Work Schedule and Environment
This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, including evening and weekend hours. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
