Job Title: Local Contract - CT Tech

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
• Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
• Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
• Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
• Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
• Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
• Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certification
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong technical skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Minimum of two years of current Interventional Radiology Tech experience
• Graduate from a fully accredited Interventional Radiology Tech program
• Active unencumbered Georgia Interventional Radiology Tech state license
• One year of Cerner experience
• ARRT Certification

• Participates in relevant continuing education programs
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and providing the utmost service excellence to all patients
• Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
• Can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
