Job Title: Driver, Shuttle

We are seeking a skilled Driver, Shuttle to join our team at Core-Mark, a leading distributor of fresh and broad-line solutions to the convenience retail industry.

Job Summary:

The Driver, Shuttle will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL A, a strong safety record, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
  • Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
  • Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer to bring back to driver check-in at base facility and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
