About the Role

As a Histotechnician, you will play a vital role in our laboratory team, responsible for performing routine histological procedures, maintaining department inventory, and adhering to patient identification and lab safety policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process patient specimens and perform computer functions
  • Maintain department inventory and operate and maintain equipment
  • Perform record-keeping tasks and quality improvement functions
  • Develop standard operating procedures in the department
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or 5 years of experience in a histology lab
  • Preferred: HT(ASCP) certification or obtained within 18 months of hire date
