Feedmill Management Trainee

Perdue Farms, a family-owned company, is seeking a Feedmill Management Trainee to join our Live Operations team in Burlington, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the feed production and delivery operations, ensuring quality and production requirements are met, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage feed production from receiving to field placement service, ensuring feed meets nutritional guidelines and is inventoried and delivered as scheduled.
  • Oversee the maintenance and housekeeping of the feedmill, including a preventative maintenance program.
  • Develop operating schedules, work and downtime schedules, and conduct parts inventory.
  • Communicate daily with customers and inter-company personnel, compiling and analyzing production reports.
  • Comply with company requirements regarding bio-security, food safety, and poultry welfare programs and policies.
Requirements:
  • Valid Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within 12 months of the MT program starting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong leadership skills and ability to motivate in a team atmosphere.
  • Good customer service skills, strong reading, math, writing, and communication skills, as well as analytical skills and a statistical background.
  • Must be physically able to work in all locations, including hatcheries, feed mills, chicken houses, and processing plants.

  • Competitive starting salary, with pay increases at the six and twelve-month mark.
  • Placement into a supervisor level role upon graduation of the MT program.
