Scheduling (85%)
  • Answer phones and handle calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain positive interactions at all times with patients, referring offices, and staff.
  • Schedule patient examinations according to existing company policy.
  • Ensure all appropriate personal, financial, and insurance information is obtained and recorded accurately.
  • Enter patient data into information systems completely and accurately.
  • Advise patients of financial responsibilities, preparation kits, transportation, and eating prior to appointment.
  • Communicate scheduling changes to technologists to ensure highest patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database on current and potential referring physicians.
  • Handle overflow calls for other centers within the market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling for referring offices.
  • Provide backup coverage for front office staff as requested by supervisor.
  • Field 1-800 number calls and route to appropriate department or associate.
Insurance (10%)
  • Pre-certify exams with patient's insurance company as required.
  • Verify insurance for same-day add-ons.
  • Use knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment.
Additional Responsibilities (5%)

Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
