We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a Fire Sprinkler System Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Service and Repair: Perform service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Troubleshooting: Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures to diagnose and repair equipment, and refer to technical manuals and documentation as needed.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
- Physical Demands: Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs, and working in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
- Experience: 6-10 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry, performing service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required. Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs, and adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Certifications: NICET Level II certification and backflow certification are a plus.
