Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our Immuno-oncology group. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the discovery, research, and development of novel immunotherapeutic agents to address unmet medical needs of cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and in vivo immunological assays that support the initiation and/or advancement of drug candidate projects
• Evaluate new technologies and develop new assays to accelerate early-stage discovery activities and/or enhance our understanding of disease mechanisms
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with colleagues in the oncology, protein engineering, chemistry, translational medicine, biomarker, and clinical groups
• Present research findings and recommendations to senior staff and contribute to the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, INDs, and patent filings
Requirements
• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in immunology, immuno-oncology, cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry in industry or academia
• Direct experience in research drug discovery and target identification/validation in oncology or immuno-oncology is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of immune cell biology, including T cell and myeloid cells
• Proficiency in primary T cell-based functional assays such as activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity
• Experience in conducting and optimizing cell-based assays, as well as performing studies to assess immune responses in human and animal models
• Hands-on experience in general molecular and cell biology methods, including mammalian cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, and CRISPR technology
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills is a requirement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
