Job Overview

Crescent City Schools is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our network, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and reevaluations of students to identify their strengths and areas of need.
  • Collaborate with school-based teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and school leaders to enhance their understanding of students' needs and develop strategies to support their academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Consult with school leaders and individual teachers regarding high-priority students and develop plans to support their success.
  • Conduct social-emotional skills groups as needed to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being.

Requirements
  • A Specialist or PhD in school psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification in school psychology from the state of Louisiana or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Fluency in Spanish and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Prior experience working with students in non-selective schools and a demonstrated ability to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • This is an in-person role that requires regular attendance and participation in school-based activities.
