Job Overview:

The Director of MENA Student Success will spearhead initiatives aimed at nurturing an inclusive academic environment for individuals from the Middle Eastern and North African regions. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance MENA-focused programs across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on institutional policies and procedures that impact the success of MENA students.
  • Develop and evaluate educational outcomes for MENA-related programs.
  • Represent the diversity office at cultural events and activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and partnerships between students and different departments.
  • Design and implement inclusive policies while engaging in professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct training sessions focused on inclusive practices.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in supporting MENA and underrepresented student populations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Comprehensive understanding of diversity and equity issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A PhD or terminal degree is preferred.
  • Experience in teaching and program development is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to fostering diverse and inclusive environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in higher education settings is advantageous.
