Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a vital role in advancing energy conservation and renewable energy initiatives for public sector clients. This position will oversee project design, development, and construction phases for solar photovoltaic, battery storage, microgrid, and utility interconnection projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop design/construction packages, including interconnection requirements and lead photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and microgrid project design from conception to final construction.
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams and external contractors to ensure scope, schedule, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Establish Interconnection Design Requirements and the Basis of Design for Solar PV, BESS, and Microgrid systems.
  • Perform energy performance modeling using PVSyst software and create, review, and approve drawing packages at various design stages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience dealing with design or implementation of PV systems.
  • CA State PE License.
  • Working knowledge of current National Electrical Code.
  • Proficient AutoCAD experience required.
