We are seeking a skilled Light Assembler - Mechanical Specialist to join our team at SPX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the set-up and assembly of advanced lighting systems, ensuring high-quality production and meeting customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Align, fit, and assemble components into completed units using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates, following instructions and specifications.
- Inspect parts for defects and make modifications as needed to meet engineering specifications.
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve department and company goals, utilizing available resources and technology to complete work efficiently.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, and participate in operational problem-solving and quality improvement activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies, including ESD guidelines, and prioritize job requirements and activities based on open communication with supervisors and others.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ months of assembly experience.
The work environment is a climate-controlled production assembly environment, with occasional exposure to fumes, caustic chemicals, and electric shock. Adherence to established safety guidelines and procedures is essential.
