Licensed Practical Nurse at Genesis HealthCare - A Career in Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of patients through high-quality healthcare and compassion.

This position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring proper documentation for optimal patient outcomes. As a member of our team, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, wound care nurses, social workers, dieticians, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals working together to achieve the best patient outcomes and quality of life.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent documentation and assessment skills, as well as the ability to mentor and train floor nurses on HNF documentation. Great communication skills and attention to detail are also essential. NM Medicaid HNF experience is not required but would be a plus.

About the Role:

  • Nurse will document where needed
  • Nurse will follow up on daily nursing and templates are followed through
  • Nurse will provide training for the nurses with all shifts including weekends
  • Nurse will provide follow-up to documentation issues with Administrator

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
  • Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
  • Experience is preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
  • Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
