The University of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Nurse Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse who can provide high-quality patient care and lead by example. As a Senior Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in educational programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in educational programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as patient safety, medication management, and emergency procedures
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing effective care plans to address these needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and readily accessible
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • RN licensure in the state of New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
  • CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire
