Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transitional Kindergarten Afterschool Teacher to join our team at the JCC East Bay. As a key member of our afterschool program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for our students. If you are passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young learners, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
  • Supervise and care for children in a safe and healthy environment, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the afterschool program by being a positive role model, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, and upholding the values of the JCC East Bay.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in childcare or a related field, with a focus on transitional kindergarten or preschool education.
  • 48+ college credits in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the JCC East Bay, including a strong understanding of Jewish culture and traditions.
