We are seeking a highly skilled Bakery Operations Specialist to join our team at Northgate Markets. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality baked goods.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise, verifying inventory and ensuring accurate counts.
- Prepare and mix dough and baking ingredients according to established recipes and procedures.
- Operate ovens, mixers, and other equipment to produce a variety of baked goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and maintaining stock.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of sales, inventory, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in full bakery operations and procedures.
- Health department training required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, verify vendor invoices, and complete accounting reports.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
The work environment includes occasional exposure to refrigerated frozen food storage areas, heated ovens, and moderate noise levels. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
