Job Summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Pottstown, PA. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement tailored education plans for students with special needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Adapt and Modify Curriculum: Tailor educational content to meet the diverse learning styles of students, promoting inclusive and effective learning environments.
  • Provide Direct Instruction: Deliver instruction in various settings, including one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom environments, catering to the needs of students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings and Professional Development: Engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and improve teaching skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a Related Field: Possess a degree in Special Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in special education principles and practices.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification: Hold a valid teaching certification in Special Education, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Experience Working with Students with Disabilities: Possess experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting, demonstrating a commitment to inclusive education.
