About the Role
This position involves evaluating and treating patients referred for Speech/Language Pathology services by a physician. You will develop plans of care for patients after evaluation, discuss the plan with them or their guardian, and assist them to achieve maximum performance and function in society. You will participate in performance improvement activities within the department and assure personal competency while maintaining licensure.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients referred for Speech/Language Pathology services.
- Develop plans of care for patients after evaluation.
- Discuss plans with patients or their guardians.
- Assist patients to achieve maximum performance and function in society.
- Participate in performance improvement activities within the department.
- Maintain personal competency and licensure.
Requirements
- Knowledge of principles and practice of speech pathology.
- Experience working as a speech/language pathologist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
- A master's degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
- Certificate of clinical competence.
- Current State Licensure in speech pathology.
- Current BLS certification.
Estimated Salary
$85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
