Jones Street Residential, a leading multifamily investment sponsor, is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed successfully and efficiently
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy by performing a range of tasks, including painting, carpentry, general repairs, and other activities as needed
  • Work at a fast pace without compromising quality, ensuring enough time for other maintenance personnel to complete their functions in the make-ready process
  • Repair holes in walls, caulk cracks around windows and doors, repair any falling ceiling texture, patch any cracks in ceiling, and fix and texture any wall and ceiling patches
  • Maintain the accuracy of the work order system, logging all actions and supplies needed to complete each request
  • Develop a rapport with residents by providing exceptional customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary
  • Assume rotating on-call responsibility for emergencies during off-hours (nights and weekends)
  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing)

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues relating to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances
  • Excellent time management skills, able to easily conform to shifting priorities and timelines
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
