About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Manager - AI to join our team at Hyatt. As a key member of our data and AI community, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data and AI solutions that optimize decisions, predict the future, test, and measure the impact of business decisions, drive superior guest experiences, enhance efficiency, and increase innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the vision, roadmap, and direction for Hyatt's data and AI Products.
  • Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all our goals.
  • Gather requirements, determine features and their priority, write product specs, refine feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ship products quickly.
  • Ensure data quality, definition, monitoring, alerts, and recourse are built into roadmap plans and engineering requirements of each data and AI initiative/product.
  • Ensure new product or algorithmic requirements are following Hyatt policies and/or corresponding contracts before being passed to developers.
  • Define and ensure products meet business SLAs.
  • Gain an intimate understanding of the current methods of building and delivering data and AI pipelines into Hyatt's data and AI Platforms and define how this should work in the future.
  • Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization.
  • Promote enterprise-wide adoption of the data and AI Products.
  • Educate teams on data and AI Products and use cases.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.
Requirements
  • Strong background and knowledge in production ready data and AI product lifecycle development on the cloud.
  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prefer master's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or related field.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in guiding the strategy of data and AI products and its underlying data to ensure it collectively achieves business objectives, leveraging or managing data and AI products to drive business value with a proven track record of success.
  • 2 years of hands-on SQL development skills and experience. Python experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate difficult situations with competing stakeholder needs across multiple audiences (individual contributors, managers, executives).
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of modern data and AI Infrastructure and related processes, including basic cloud knowledge such as AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and SCRUM.
  • Strong knowledge working with AI/ML data and terminology, particularly in personalization and decision sciences, will be important to this role.
  • Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation as an essential part of product development.
