The Role

This role involves working as an end-to-end owner, using technology to solve complex problems across the podcast ecosystem. You will collaborate with team members, improving and building new tools, services, and applications. Your responsibility will be to take a business problem from conception to designing, developing, and deploying software solutions while maintaining high code quality standards.

You will engage with stakeholders on planning and communication of project deliverables, participating in an on-call rotation within your team. In case of problems, you will troubleshoot, research the root cause, thoroughly resolve defects while maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders and customers.

Key Requirements

- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- High level of fluency with Ruby on Rails and RubyGems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building automated tests using RSpec to ensure code quality and readiness for deployment
- Experience using Active Record to interact with databases and perform data modeling
- Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs and familiarity with JSON:API specification
- Experience using Git for version control and collaborating with other developers

You will work within a team of cross-functional engineers, product managers, and designers, constructing end-to-end features to enhance best-in-class tools for podcast creators. You will find yourself writing and reviewing code, architecting cool new things, and solving technical challenges.
