About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Teacher Leader to join our team at the Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in promoting the educational and social development of young children in our care. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a well-organized learning environment that fosters choice, play, exploration, and experimentation among children.
  • Develop and implement individualized instruction plans, in accordance with program procedures and research-based curriculum, to support children's growth and development.
  • Monitor children's daily attendance and communicate with assigned staff members if additional supports are needed.
  • Support tracking responsibilities of daily meal counts for the CACFP program, as requested.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with a study plan toward a degree in Early Childhood Education OR Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with NY State Certification OR Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education working towards NYS Certification.
  • Minimum of two years-experience working with preschoolers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communications skills.
