Key Responsibilities

As a Nutritional Support Aide, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring adherence to food preparation and sanitation standards in a safe environment.
  • Preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines set by healthcare professionals.
  • Completing additional tasks as directed by the Dietary Services Director.

Essential Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • The ability to read and write in English.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds independently.
  • Observational skills to monitor residents' needs and respond to emergencies.
  • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Two years of experience in the food service sector (preferred).
  • Compliance with annual health assessments and tuberculosis testing.
  • A strong understanding of sanitary food handling practices.
  • Valid references and a clean background check.

Work Environment

This position is set in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment. There may be occasional exposure to residents with communicable diseases or those who may exhibit challenging behaviors. Outdoor work may be required during special events.
