Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. As a PICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage the physical and emotional needs of critically ill children
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and families

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
  • Experience working in a pediatric intensive care unit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
