Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to a diverse group of inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments to determine the health status of patients at the time of admission
  • Create and implement individualized plans of care, including discharge plans, and regularly evaluate their effectiveness
  • Document patient outcomes and responses to nursing interventions
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Perform venipuncture, administer and maintain IV fluids and IV medications
  • Review and implement new physician orders, ensuring accurate documentation
Requirements
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of experience working with cardiac patients
  • Experience working in a Telemetry Unit or Coronary Care Unit is preferred
  • Experience caring for patients with coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass surgery, and angina
Education and Certifications
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
