About the Role:

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their team of dedicated caregivers. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams on patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety during and after the exam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and validating patient screening safety forms
  • Educating patients regarding MRI procedures and equipment
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting any malfunctions
  • Performing MRI procedures required per protocol and performing daily QA
  • Acquiring and reviewing patient questionnaires, charts, and data/requisitions to determine contraindications for MRI examinations
  • Verifying and validating patient screening safety forms
  • Ensuring patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam
  • Assisting with scheduling of patients
  • Administering proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam
  • Acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS
  • Completing after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork
  • Immediately reporting any malfunctions and observing potential equipment dysfunctions and reporting problems or calling for service
  • Maintaining available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility
  • Processing billing via RIS
  • Instructing and mentoring new hires and Radiology students
  • Learning new technical information and skills
  • Attending in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions
  • Potentially rotating through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, graduate of an accredited school in Sonography or Radiation Therapy, or possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or certification from CAHEA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
  • Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing
  • Or must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
