MRI Technologist I

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join their team of dedicated caregivers. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and validating patient screening safety forms
- Educating patients regarding MRI procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety during and after the exam
- Maintaining equipment and reporting any malfunctions or potential issues
- Performing MRI procedures required per protocol and performing daily quality assurance
- Acquiring and reviewing patient questionnaires, charts, and data/requisitions to determine contraindications for MRI examinations
- Verifying and validating patient screening safety forms
- Administering proper contrast related to patient MRI exams
- Acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS
- Completing after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork
- Reporting any malfunctions and observing potential equipment dysfunctions
- Maintaining available equipment uptime at the highest level for patient accessibility
- Processing billing via RIS
- Instructing and mentoring new hires and radiology students
- Learning new technical information and skills
- Attending in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions
- Potentially rotating through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations
- Must have a graduate degree from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, an accredited school in Sonography or Radiation Therapy, or a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or certification from CAHEA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
- Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing, or a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing, or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
