We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC). As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a correctional environment, working under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.
- Respond to and intervene in emergency situations.
- Conduct patient intake paperwork and verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
- Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
- Assist the provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
- Monitor for, report, and document changes in patient's condition.
- Accurately document all patient information, nursing care, and interventions.
- Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
- Follow QCHC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School.
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN. One year of experience in a correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
- $28/hour pay rate.
- Shift differential of $3.00/hr for night shifts.
- Matching 401(k) plan.
- PayActiv for access to earned pay before payday.
