The Director of Risk Management is responsible for leading the development and execution of the enterprise risk management strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing emerging risks within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the enterprise risk management program, focusing on regulatory compliance and advisory functions.
- Act as a senior liaison between compliance, business units, and risk management to facilitate transparent risk discussions.
- Manage the team’s delivery of comprehensive risk assessments, utilizing data analysis and risk modeling to inform business decisions.
- Present findings and risk assessment data to key stakeholders, including regulators and business partners, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Support senior management in maintaining a holistic view of risks associated with business models through regular assessments and risk register updates.
- Conduct ongoing oversight of emerging risks and produce necessary reports or assessments.
- Guide the development of meaningful risk analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders, including the Executive Risk Committee.
- Manage the development and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to ensure proactive identification of risk trends.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management frameworks and policies that align with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative team culture, motivating and guiding the Risk Team to attract and retain top talent.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management.
- Experience in a large organization with multi-state regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with a track record of managing multiple deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in executive presentation and project management.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
