About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Drafter to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of drafting principles, and proficiency in CAD software. In addition to preparing technical drawings and collaborating with project teams, you will also develop and write CNC programs using Radan nesting software.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Preparing detailed technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or architects.
  • Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify 3D designs.
  • Reviewing and interpreting engineering and architectural sketches and specifications.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs align with technical specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Maintaining documentation and archives of drawings and project details.
  • Developing and writing CNC programs using Radan nesting software for various cutting operations, including turret punch press, waterjet cutting, based on engineering specifications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of drafting experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, or similar)
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Radan Nesting)
  • Basic knowledge of engineering, architectural principles, or industry standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
