A career as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at SSOE offers the opportunity to design state-of-the-art semiconductor, battery, and industrial systems for leading high-tech companies. As a key member of our cross-disciplinary team, you will contribute to projects that push the boundaries of innovation.

You will work closely with lead/contributing Mechanical Engineers, design teams, and Sr. Project Managers to create and problem-solve complex designs incorporating the latest techniques. Your responsibility will be to ensure that all specifications are met and projects are completed on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet client needs.
  • Create and finalize designs involving mechanical building systems, including piping, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection.
  • Design and develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings using software like Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on specific objectives, complex features, and aiding in deriving solutions to unusual problems.
  • Apply standard design techniques and procedures, exercising judgment in adapting and modifying design concepts.
  • Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Lead and direct associate engineers and designers, focusing on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  • Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000/yearQualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment is required.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems is essential. Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or hydraulic modeling software is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other mechanical building systems.
  • Ability to interface with customers to define scope of work and basis of design.
