Job Summary

UCI Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Custodian to join our Environmental Services team in Irvine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in acute and non-acute in-patient, out-patient, and non-patient areas.

Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in various locations, including rotating shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Exercise care and caution in the use of supplies and equipment while performing custodial tasks.
  • Perform resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing.
  • Assist with other various related housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Previous experience working in a service industry position and interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated custodial experience working in a healthcare environment.
