About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. as part of our Guidewire Modernization initiative. In this role, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your broad Guidewire architecture experience to support a strategic Guidewire initiative
  • Provide consulting to our division architects and champion the establishment of an enterprise Guidewire architecture practice
  • Help align capabilities within Guidewire to fit the needs of our business groups and promote reusability and commonality
  • Establish governance and control processes to ensure successful and healthy Guidewire implementations
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for following and sharing Guidewire's Cloud roadmap and highlight opportunities and challenges to complement our initiatives
Requirements
  • Architecture experience with a strong background in cloud and API strategy
  • Previous experience with Guidewire Cloud, Policy Center strongly preferred; Billing Center and Claim Center considered
  • Provided mentorship to architects and established strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization
  • Strong proven Software Engineering experience and developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals
  • Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and insurance technology experience
  • Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models, innovation and continuous improvement, and must be passionate about technology transformations
  • Has hands-on experience in the last 3 years and executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy
  • Current deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps, and Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud
  • Good understanding of security and experienced with large-scale technology platforms
