Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Oncology Nurse Practice Specialist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to lead clinical practice and promote quality improvement in patient care.

This role requires a strong background in nursing, with a focus on oncology and surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

$120,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Description

The Surgical Oncology Nurse Practice Specialist will provide expert consultation to administrative leaders, educators, nurses, and physicians to promote and maintain quality improvement in patient care. This will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices, as well as mentoring and coaching staff to improve their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation to administrative leaders, educators, nurses, and physicians to promote and maintain quality improvement in patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor and coach staff to improve their skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional Nursing Certification required (CCRN, CEN, OCN, etc.).
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree preferred.
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years of recent experience in the area of concentration.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
